Cats Workshop Announcement!

We are pleased to announce further details for this event:

The Cats Workshop will take place:

Sunday 15th December, 9-3

At the Illogan Village Hall

(Nance Lane, Church Town Rd,

Illogan TR16 4SW)

We are limited to 45 spaces, so make sure you get your place early before it becomes too late. This is an amazing opportunity to work with professionals in both dance and singing.

So what happens on the day?

- Students will be split into two groups based on difficulty. They will alternately learn a choreographed routine to Jellice Cats and learn singing techniques / harmony as well.

- Students will be provided with significant breaks throughout the day, and a complimentary drink and a snack will be provided to each student in one of the breaks.

- Students are required to bring their own lunch.

- Parents/ carers / guardians will be invited to come and watch what we have achieved at 2.45pm.

As the focus of this workshop is dance (and a large part of the day will be spent on it), appropriate clothes and shoes must be worn. There are to be no flip flops, heels, bare socks, roller skates etc. Any student that does not have safe clothing or shoes will be asked to change before they join in.

This is for the safety of the children.

Every member of the team is DBS checked, and there will be chaperones, as well as our Child Protection Officer present on the day.

Places will be available to purchase from our website (www.gullrockproductions.co.uk) and are non-refundable on 15th September.

A membership form (which lasts 12 months) also needs to be completed before students can join in.

This is a really good deal for those who are planning to regularly attend our workshops!

What do do?

Come along to one of our workshops, and ask for a loyalty card. Make sure you get it signed by one of our creative team.

Once you have had all three spaces signed, please either inform one of our creative team, or email us, showing us the card, and we will inform you how to get 20% off, when you go to checkout.

Then, you can ask for another loyalty card and start again!

We are pleased to announce our first event, the "Cats Workshop".

Delivered by professional, RAD AND ISTD registered dance teacher, Kathryn Cameron-Webb, who has over 20 years of experience teaching dance to youth and adults, at various classes, musicals, professionally and her own dance school. Kathryn takes pride in her choreography, and always excels students to the best of their ability. She has a diploma in Musical Theatre and has professional dance and musical experience.

Gull Rock Productions are very fortunate to have Kathryn, who will teach students an intermediate level of dance, inspired by a song from cats- "Jellicle Cats".

This workshop runs all day, and in this period, students will learn a song and dance from the musical, and be ready to perform to those picking them up, at the end of the day.

Students will also be introduced to the movements of a cat, and how to perform with the characteristics of a feline.

This workshop is running for children ages 8-18, but we do recommend having some dance experience and maturity due to the nature of the choreography.

The price for this class is £25 per student, which is non-refundable.
